Most IFS powder coatings can be formulated with anti-microbial capability. The silver ions used are a naturally occurring element that is environmentally responsible and has been shown to offer protection against microbes that cause odor, mildew, and spoilage on the product without high toxicity to humans and animals.
IFS’s coatings are treated with silver ions, which inhibit the growth of cellular enzymes on the coating in the presence of moisture. Anti-microbial product protection can be added to most IFS formulations, and the coating will retain its anti-microbial product protection over time.
