Polyurethane Powder
Polyurethane powder coatings share the chemical resistance and corrosion protection properties of epoxy chemistry, but add a critical capability that epoxy lacks, namely exterior durability. The polyurethane cross-link structure produces a hard, dense film that resists UV degradation, making it the standard for exterior functional applications where chemical exposure is a concern.
IFS polyurethane powders do require careful process control. Cure windows are tighter than polyester, and ventilation is needed during application and cure due to odor and smoke. When your specification demands hardness, chemical resistance, and outdoor performance from a single chemistry, polyurethane is the answer.
